The Conference Assistant (CA) is a summertime position with responsibilities that work with and support camp and conference guests at East Carolina University.

Camps and Conferences Services in Campus Living at ECU is comprised of Hospitality Services and the Youth Programs and Camps Office (YPCO).

Hospitality Services assists groups wishing to utilize residential housing, dining and a multitude of other services during the summer months for camps, conferences, retreats, workshops, internships and more. In partnership with many other integral campus partners, our team provides a superb customer service experience from start to finish.

The staff of the YPCO works to create and maintain a safe environment for minors on our campus through guidance to both internal and external groups. The YPCO is a key partner for navigating youth protection policies.

Brandy Alexander-Daniels is the Associate Director of Campus Living Off-Campus Students and Hospitality Services.  She’s received her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University, and her Master’s Degree from North Carolina State University.  Brandy returned to work at ECU in the Spring of 2014.  Prior to that she worked at Vidant Medical Center with college students.  Brandy has served in roles of being a student Resident Advisor, Hall Director, Assistant Director, and now an Associate Director. Originally from Hobgood, NC she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, being involved in local community engagement, and mentoring young adults! You will often see her in the drive-thru at Starbucks!!

 

Area Attractions

Our campus is in Greenville, NC, a thriving community and the hub of Eastern North Carolina and halfway between Raleigh and the coast. Greenville’s vibrant downtown is within walking distance of campus, and so is the beautiful Tar River.

Numerous historic and charming towns such as Washington, New Bern, and Kinston are within a 45 minute drive. The beautiful Crystal Coast is a mere hour and a half drive away. Atlantic Ocean, and the Triangle area.

Our staff is very familiar with this region, and we would love to help you explore it!

The Pitt-Greenville Airport (PGV) is a mere five miles from ECU’s campus.

 

Raleigh-Durham International Airport is about 1.5 hours drive by car.
